About

At the 2008 Worldcon, a motion was put forward to eliminate the Best Semiprozine Hugo Award. This website was initially created to rally the troops and demonstrate why this would be a bad idea. When the final vote occurred at the 2009 Worldcon, the tides turned and the award was saved. In the aftermath, a much-needed committee was formed to re-evaluate the criteria for the Best Semiprozine Hugo and related Hugos.

The committees proposal was approved at Chicon in 2012 and is now in effect. The purpose of this website now shifts to educating people who is and is not eligible under the new rules.
